Kuoppajärven kurjilla on tänä kesänä kaksi poikasta.

Näin se aika kuluu!
Vaikka on olevinaan ajanhermolla päivittäin,
pari kolmekin vuotta voi vilahtaa ohi noin vain
... kuten nyt täällä DailyMirror'ssa
... näköjään.

Mutta en tunnusta,
ettenkö olisi seurannut
luonnon tapahtumia
koko ajan.

Nyt on kuitenkin
pakko päivittää
Kuoppajärven elämää.
Uutta elämää on taas
syntymässä.

Järvenmäen rinteestä on hyvät näkymät alas Kuoppajärvelle. Rannassa oleva noin 10-vuotta vanha lintutorni on jo melko laho ja hutera, mutta uusi on suunnitteilla. Laulujoutsenet ovat ehtineet rakentaa jo pesän uuteen paikkaan, ja pesintä on alkanut.

Time goes on!
Although I imagine myself
on the cutting edge every day
even two or three years may pass
... like here in DailyMirror
... as I see now.

But I don't admit
I don't have followed
the nature all the time.

But now I'm forced to upgrade
Kuoppajärvi life,
for something  new
is just to be born.


There are some pictures of this morning. I tried to see something on the lake against the morning sun. I was just leaving when one crane cried out and I turned back and climbed up to the bird tower. And there it was... I had been waiting for... a whooper on her nest... but the crane got away while I was changing a battery to my camera.







Kävin myöhemmin uudelleen lintutornilla. Molemmat laulujoutsenet olivat paikalla, samoin yksinäinen mutta rohkea kurki.

I visited the bird tower later again. Both whoopers were there and the lonely but brave crane as well.

Ennen auringon nousua

vain hiipivä usva liikkui järven yllä.

Kun aurinko nousi metsän ylle,

ensimmäinen sorsa lensi kaislikosta esiin.

Mutta vasta kun auringon kehrä kuvastui veden kalvoon,

alkoi laulujoutsenten hiljainen ja vaikuttava paraati.

Before the sunrise
there was only fog creeping over the water.
When the sun got over the forest
the first duck flew out from the rushes.
But just when the sun reflected on the water
the silent and impressive parade of the hoopers began.
