Ystäväni soitti ja ilmoitti näköalapaikaltaan, että komea täysikuu nousee kaakosta. Mikäs siinä auttoi; oli lähdettävä kiipeämään Järvenmäkeen, vaikka itseasiassa olin menossa jo nukkumaan. Luonto oli mahtavimmillaan. Lintujen konsertti oli korviahuumaava. Kuu nousi kaakosta, ja luoteessa hehkuivat laskevan auringon värit.

My friend called me and told that there is an amazing fullmoon rising in the south-east. What to do; actually I was going to sleep but I rushed up to Järvenmäki however. Nature was charming. The concert of the birds was deafening. The moon was rising from the south-east and in the north-west there were glowing colors of the sunset.
