Pientä ja sievää * Tiny and pretty

Saarn. 3: 11

"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." Ecc. 3: 11

Kettu ja kauris * Fox and deer

Yksinäinen kauris on ruokaillut monena iltana hämärän tultua kotimme viereisellä pellolla.

One lonely deer has been feeding on the field next to our home. Last night a fox came there too. It was very brave and came nearer to the deer, which seemed to be untouched at first. But when it came near enough to the fox it started to run after the fox. The same happend twice or three times, and then the fox went on it's way. (It was already too dark to shoot.)

Silmujen avautuessa * When the buds open

"Viikunapuussa kypsyvät ensi hedelmät,
viiniköynnöksen nuput aukeavat
ja levittävät tuoksuaan.
Nouse, kalleimpani, kauneimpani,
tule kanssani ulos."
Laulujen laulu 2: 13

"The fig tree putteth forth her green figs,
and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell.
Arise, my love, my fair one,
and come away."
